yes. she apparently holds a higher authority over most, if not all, vampires. at least according the to true blood wikia site. in the comic con trailer, she appears to be with a posse of people at fangtasia. she also put godric is his place during season 2. i'm guessing she is older than most others.

I'm not sure. I think I remember something where Eric or Godric said something alluding that Godric was more powerful and didn't really have to listen to her. Her reply was something like, "Oh yeah? Well I'm on TV so I win."
