I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping in the past 2 weeks. Normally I try to get 5-7 hours of sleep a night (3AM-9/10AM), but lately I've had this problem where I'm staying up for 24-36 hours straight. During these times, I try to stay awake until night time to reset my internal clock, but I find myself just passing out for 3-4 hours in the late afternoon, which throws my body even more out of whack. It is getting to the point where I'm thinking about going to see a doctor, but being a student, a doctor's visit isn't really in my budget right now in the semester.
So what should I do to get my body back on track? I've tried working out at night, but it seems to only make the problem worse. I've read in bed, drank myself silly, etc... I've basically done everything but taken OTC sleep medication. Do they work? Which are least habit forming?
Any help is much appreciated.
