    I am gutted.

Richard has just phoned me & the MTO Henrys arrived late last week which was good news.
The not so good news is that they were displayed & my pair sold by a member of staff who hadn't checked in the diary & reserved them.
I really fancied these as they were the first pair of Tricker's that I ever tried on & the leather sole option was how I wanted them.

Not to worry, Richard couldn't have been more apologetic & hopefully my brother & I, along with some guidance from Richard, can put a new MTO together over Easter & I can have something else to look forward to.

Wow, those cordovan Allan boots look amazing! I think I need to get down to a Trickers stockist to work out what size/last suits me best so that I can get a piece of the action here. Anyone got any tips or suggestions to narrow my search? (I.e. style, last). The 4497/5 and Stow seem to be popular.

Figure out what your size is in 4497 and 4444 and you've covered about 90% of the desirable Tricker's.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! So if I have correctly interpreted the way the MTO process works, we need 4 more.

Depends on the makeup. Often times Richard at Shoe Healer will pick up two pair for his shop so you only need a total of 4. He just took two pairs of this makeup though so not sure if he needs more or not.

Makes sense. Just sent him an email and will look forward to his reply. This boot is close to perfect in terms of what I'm looking for. Hope it works out. Thanks to you and Zippyh for the info.

I would be in as well, but not a big Danite fan. Particularly on lighter Shell colors. Especially since I wouldn't wear them in the rain anyways. Would have to figure out sizing, since I know 0 about Trickers sizing.

I'm with you on both points. I love both commando and crepe (though o seem to be the only one on the latter) but for this boot, I would have no trouble with Dante. Also completely ignorant on Trickers sizing but you and I have pretty common Barrie sizes so my guess is that figuring it out won't be too heavy of a lift.

Three down and three to go. We have have this wrapped by the time I hear back by tomorrow.

I hear you but we did a red Dainite on this which looks really good I think for this makeup as it highlights some of the undertones in the cordovan.

This is my second pair of Trickers shell and I am highly impressed. Next up for me will likely be a shell PTB

I might be in if we go for a less casual look overall (darker welt, eyelets, and lining). Even better if we go for the 81 last. Just my 2 cents...

Wow, that's the first time I've seen them from the bottom. Changes my entire perspective and makes danite my first choice. I absolutely agree with your sentiment.

Man, I really hope we can pull this off. I purchased my first pair of Carmina's about a month ago and was floored with the fit and quality. That experience has definitely made me more receptive to open up my mind to high-quality shoes outside of the Alden family. These boots check all the key boxes for me. All of them.

I guess I can do it too. In that picture, it actually looks pretty cool. I only have one Danite shoe right now and it is black. Definitely seems more durable, but I am not sure on how I feel with the stacked heel. The red blends in better here.

No clue on what their lasts are, but I think our Whiskey MTO boot is of a slightly more formal design. I kind of like this treatment, especially with Tricker's ridiculously large eyelets and stuff.

    Mike,

Trickers lasts are pretty generous. I take same as my Barrie on the 4497 last (8D abd 7.5UK) the Trickers is a bit more generous but I just wear a thicker sock

Very true - if you all are going for a replica of this recent design, don't let me distract you. :)

It may be another GMTO altogether, but I was thinking of something close to the following, but with teak or cotto cordovan:
