Updates:
Eaton August order is ready, Shoehealer will be in touch with you to complete the payment balance and shipping details soon.

Eaton last group #3, the production details/timeline is being finalized but there is chance that the shoes will be ready Nov/Dec instead of Oct.

Awesome.
I haven't heard from shoehealer yet.

Another thumbs up to robin for herding cats and making this happen.

hmmm yeah i guess you're right. The other reason why i wanted to remove some of the broguing is that it makes polishing them so much easier. How about removing the broguing from the quarters?

Don't even try that with Trickers, I have asked to have a simple request, remove the medallion from the Eaton cap toe, so only perforated cap toe, and they say No. Need to pay gbp2000 for whole pattern change, ridiculous, yeah.
Not so handmade...

The medallion and the broguing on the seam are both likely part of the same die pattern. Although their answer is disappointing it is probably honest.

Does DHL usually kill people with duties and fees? Or alternatively, would Richard be willing to write down the value of the package?

The one time I got hit with customs on a DHL package, their broker fees were only about $5 compared to Fedex which is $25-30.
If they categorize the shoes correctly, the rate should be something around 8%.
DHL didn't do it right and just used some lazy ass "other" category and I paid 12%. But it was only about a $12 difference so not worth the hassle of fighting with them.

Every time I've ordered something international that was delivered by DHL, I've had to pay customs fees if the value of the package was high enough. IIRC, they charged a fairly significant handling fee on customs duties as well.

USPS is the way to go, I've never paid a duty on anything delivered by USPS before.

Is there an update on the status of the SG Longwings purchase? Should I be checking with Shoehealer on that?
You don't have to follow up on that. Tricker's won't entertain us with their production schedule. I'd expect the soonest to be around mid August since they promised for September delivery. I belive there'll be holiday around these days too. I'll make sure you get the news as soon as I hear something....

I don't see any price quote on the cover of my shipping label, but then never get charged from DHL... Anyway, it's picture time...

The only thing deviates from our specs is the dainite sole, they don't use brown one, it appears very black to me. But again it's minor for me. It literally only takes less than 24 hour from Shoehealer to here (US)....

When I got charged, the bill came a week or two later.

Very very nice Robin.
Looking forward to mine.
