I bought these recently thinking I would darken the boots a couple of shades and the soles several shades, perhaps asking Ron if he could antique them a bit... They are very close to natural color, with the interior (except for the paisley part, of course) and exterior color being quite similar.

I wanted to get opinions from the group on what you might do with them if you did not want to wear them as is?

It should be pretty easy to darken them a couple shades through the steady application of dark brown polish. I've done the same thing on a pair of Crockett & Jones and they came out fine.

Those are nice brogue boots. I love the paisley lining. You should be able to darken them with brown polisch, as MC suggests.

Are you , a farmer?

Thanks, Khaki Sack -

That is the color I'm thinking of. Would any type of antiquing be "too much"? There's already a lot going on...
