Found a pair of trickers for 450, in dark brown cap toe with medallion. They have channeled soles. They are unworn. They are in a 9E I believe

They also have a whole bunch of RLPL velvet slippers that are made in england. I believe they are around 180ish, all are unworn.

Are these worth it?

Are you looking to flip these?

While I find the idea of wearing velvet/leather soled slippers around house, on hardwood floor intriquing, it is not that intriquing at $180.

Vox, you don't count. You are not normal. You fall outside of the bell curve/median distribution...whatever.

Do you have a butler? or two?

Velvet slippers are for formal wear. The Ralph Lauren ones are Edward Green and retail for over 1k.

I don't think anyone here is normal.

No, but I do remember life with live-in servants. It's overrated.

For yourself? sure it could be worth it.

I don't think they will sell though. You might get $180ish for slippers, but due to the presence of their factory shop on ebay the Trickers will not hit $350, IMHO.

Alberts are at-home slippers. If you're throwing a dinner party, or attending something at a friend's house, I have no problems wearing them with black tie.

But, I wouldn't wear them in place of pumps or patent oxfords for more public events.

Thanks for the correction. Now that I actually looked at the shoe, I see what you are saying. They are not nearly as sleek as pumps and they have that satin quilting inside. Interesting.

Doesn't Trickers make shoes for the PoW? IMO, it is worth it. I am not into slippers yet.

If they are EG's with "Skull & Crossbones" - I would go for it.
Likewise though, I can't quite fathom the hard soled slipper indoors.

I've told this story here before, but TF Gucci had Alberts that were embroidered "Suc" on one shoe and "Kme" on the other.

Alas, none my size.

That is a steal for the slippers. But I think the market on SF might be somewhat small if you were hoping to flip them. If you decide not to flip them will you let me know your source?

These do have the satin quilting. The place is a vintage store in palm beach. Firos fine menswear or something like that.
