I'm not a proponent of massive knots but that knot was really tiny

    Yep.

He certainly seemed so in person. I didn't talk very long with him, but he was friendly and sociable. And he likes watches.

I'm glad I didn't know he knew about my participation on the forums. It would have felt very awkward.

I thought you knew that already.

Congrats! The blue steel glare was worth the price of admission. You had the best all around outfit, but I guess Trepanier fits the Esquire lifestyle. Well done anyway.

    Foof,

How did you choose the tie? I liked, but thought a repp stripe (J Press) would have been nice for TV.

    +1 on both.

Foo - can you Foof the finalists? I think it'd be a brilliant finale.

    Dan is the most marketable.

    Precisely.

He was photogenic, had an interesting look that was trendier than Mafoofan.
I far preferred Matt's look, but I am not at all surprised that Dan T won.
The real surprise would have been if Matt had won.

    Nicely done, Mafoofan.

    Enjoyed the spot.

Thanks for the link. First contestant looked relaxed. Maffoofan looked so uncomfortable in his own skin and clothes. The youngest contestant was quite self conscious, looking down at his clothes even.

I suppose it was a foregone conclusion that DanT would win, rather anticlimactic.

Through AAAC? Nick never hid the fact that he worked for Esquire, and his screen name is pretty much his first and last name.

    Nick's a nice guy.

So going forward, will getting dressed up be known as "trepanning"? [IMG]

We both made a trepanation joke today, how quaint!

The rugby jersey and tweed jacket is definitely the trepanist look.

Congrats for just getting to the finals. I am proud for you if that means anything.
