Hi,

Do you prefer raglan or standard shoulders on a trench coat?
Do you know what was the original design by Burberry?

Thank you.

Not really a fan of raglan sleeves on anything, but both types are classic:

I already own a black Burberry trench with regular shoulders but since I would like to invest in a desert color one I thought it would be interesting to have another cut for change... But I do admit that raglan looks "older" too me.

a raglan would look a bit unstructured as it's usually meant to be wornover a suit or sportcoat. The raglans on the latest burberry trenches however aren't exactly what i would call loose fitting. I prefer the standard shoulder if I don't wear anything except for a sweater or a shirt underneath.

A trenchcoat should fit somewhat like a tent.
Look at the amount of fabric on Bogey's coat.

I usually wear a trench to protect my suits so I like the room raglan sleeves provide and actually do like the classic look of a double-breast raglan sleeve trench coat. I use the belt to make the look "slimmer".
