Trenches are not supposed to be tight unless it's specifically designed that way (think Burberry has some regular and slimmer fits. The shoulders appear big on you but I wouldn't say the rest of the jacket is proportionally as large. I think the small may be too small for you but you can always try it.

You are also wearing it over a T-shirt and shorts. If that’s how you plan to wear it, then I would size down. If you are going to wear it over a sweater or sport coat and trousers then I think it’ll be fine.

If you wear it with layers (and pants) it'll look great, pair it with sweaters and a contrasting but coordinating pant and a pair of dressier boots and it would look great! The sleeves are a little long, however that is an easy fix.
