Hello all,

I'm at a bit of a dilemma. You see, I bought a Groupon to Indochino which gets me (essentially) $75 off anything I purchase. The only thing I really could use right now is a trench coat (something for the spring/autumn when my peacoat's too heavy, and when its raining of course), and I happen to like a couple on the Indochino website.

That being said, I've also read around these forums a bit and found that most people haven't had good experiences with Indochino. So, I'm trying to think of where I can get a similar trench coat (similar price as Indochino with my coupon being < $300 or so) in downtown Toronto. That way, I can use the Groupon on a shirt, and deal with any associated issues without also putting up the extra cash for a coat.

Any suggestions of where to look? I'm right in the core (around Front & Bathurst) so I'd prefer something close, but I know that might be a tall order.

Thanks!

I find it hard to find outerwear at that price point. You're obviously spending more than Gap, Zara and H&M prices at that point, but you're not quite at entry level Rosen and Holt's offerings. You could try Stollerys but they don't have much in terms of fashion forward offerings. Even at the hight of sale season I doubt Holt's or Rosen has a trench at that price point. In that range you a looking at Club Monaco. I like a lot of their outwear, I have a camel hair jacket from them that is pretty good (an obvious Thom Browne rip off), so you can probably find one of their higher-end trench's on sale at the Eaton Centre location or Bloor store.

I got a nice trench at Banana Republic in the Fall. Check out the the Monogram line- I think it is only carried at the Eaton Centre location in Toronto.
