Traveling to Rome and Paris what shops

Hi next week I’m going to Rome for a few days and Paris for an afternoon. What shops should I check out for some classic menswear shopping?

I remember years back reading about some good deals on MTO shoes but after searching I think that was Meermin in Spain.

I would really love to find some suede double monk straps or have some made. I was hoping $500 or under but I’m open to all suggestions. I think I would like something fun like a light blue suede or light gray but I’m also open to a classic look.

I also need some casual belts and I was looking around before the trip but then I realized I should just buy them there.

Thanks guys. Any other tips are appreciated.

P.S. Also going to Amsterdam if there is anything of interest there.

Amsterdam is expensive as ****. There are undoubtedly better deals to be found in Rome and Paris. Only affordable brand worth checking out in the Netherlands is SuitSupply. The rest is all imported except for wooden shoes.

Going to Paris? Check out Septieme Largeur and Caulaincourt at those prices. For Rome I cannot help you sorry.

The back of @RJman's new book Swan Songs has a directory of Parsian makers. You may find that list interesting.

Way late but I ended up getting the Caulaincourt Attila boots while in Paris. It was a really cool shop. The guy helping me was super chill and friendly. I used the restroom downstairs at one point and there was just one guy down there hand painting shoes at a desk.

Soon I’m going to get some combat soles on them so I can wear them more often and possibly wear them while riding my Triumph.
