Wow, thanks for the tip... I didn't know anyone else could do that, but I/mods can do it by double-clicking in the box around any thread title. Does it actually edit the shown title?

^I just tried it with my threads and couldn't get it to let me edit them. As a mod at AAAC I can do it with threads there. Could you explain more thoroughly how you were able to do it? What do you mean by the 'list page'?

By the way, I've found that I have to be using MS Explorer in order to do it. Opera won't let me.

Did you try it with a recent thread? I assume the 60 day rule would apply to this.

Yes, as I've done it before, but only if the thread doesn't already have a reply (or so I think). There are quite a few posts on this over at the vBulletin support forms if you search, but oddly enough there's almost nothing in their documentation. It's kind of neat, but it's also kind of bad UI.

I believe he's referring to the views (forumdisplay.php).

On the lines of 'how do you do this' chatter, wondering if someone could explain the formatting commands for 'striking through' text?

AlanC,

You are one of the few people I know that uses the Opera browser.

Why do you prefer it to Firefox

And to J. Good idea on that B & S thread lock warning. The B & S forum seems as busy as ever, and it was only a few that abused the bump process.

As to the editing of thread titles. I can't do it with Firefox, either with old or new posts whether or not if they have replies.

I think there is a strict time limit. I misspelled an item in the title of my common projects thread in the b&s forum. I edited it like 5-10 minutes later. I can't do it anymore though. In the thread display page (click on buy&sell forum but don't click on threads yet) i clicked a certain way and the thread title turned into a white text box where i could change it. Next time you create a thread try to see if it works.

Can we ban the pseudo-German troll? Does anyone find him funny?
