    for example: grounding =/= grinding

That is what I mean. Perhaps Fritzl thinks we are suggesting to make hamburger meat out of VG's daughter. Or perhaps to attach electrical wires to her. Or to put her in the cold cold ground.

Fritzl, "grounding" is a common punishment used by parents to take away a child's privilege of being able to go ouside and play.

That is disgusting. Personally, I'm offended!

I'm more wont to say "I'll chop off your toes and give them away." Seriously. And the kids love it, delightfully twisted creatures that they are.

I've always been fond of this one, not originally mine:

"If you don't stop ____, I'll chop off your legs, sharpen the stumps, and drive you into the ground with a mallet."

    That's a great one.

Makes me want to have kids just to be able to use it.

I think it would work from about age four onwards...

Perhaps we have a vocabulary comprehension problem here.

Fritzl, what is your understanding of "grounding"?

After all, it's not important anymore what my understanding of grounding is.

The statements here and there are quite inappropriate.

You are making no sense. Please do that in another thread, not this one. Thanks.

A practice that could aptly be termed "grounding".
