1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I've always thought the sockpuppet thing was odd, mostly for the same reason. I've thought it would be funny to have one, but I would have no idea how to write differently from my norm. I would spend the whole time worried that everyone could tell it was me because of my writing style.

Then I realize my writing style probably isn't as unique as I think it is, and I start to wonder if I could get away with it, thus restarting the whole internal debate.

I still don't understand why sockpuppets - well known ones - are allowed here. Every other forum I've visited, where sockpuppetry could have some value, has banned members if they are found to use sockpuppets. What's the idea behind allowing them here, especially when mods can easily track who is whom?

Have never understood this phenomenon either. Seems like a strange way to amuse one's self, but I will admit to laughing along, so I must say I am no longer in the ban camp. Just find them, interesting from a sociological perspective.

There are a few sock puppets that are obvious, and whoever the puppeteers are, they aren't trying to hide what's going on. They're just little harmless jabs at us and the idea of sock puppetry. They can be funny or, at most, inocuous. But they're probably a minority.

It would be great if 187 had no title. Like nothing under his name type of deal.

That would be my guess, since his longest phrases in a foreign language are French (was just about to post that! stop ruining my exposès!).

Judging from his latest grammatical error in French, I would say no.

A2M/ATC is back to his old trolling with a fresh vengeance. Though he's not yet gone so far as to claim a person's suicide was due to his father's being a Republican, it's only a matter of time and he's already been off to a good start today.

I think he's only posting as he is to see how many tempers he can flare up... it's obvious he doesn't actually find the forum useful for any other purpose (such as discussion!)

You know somebody's not all there when he puts AF and matt together in the same group, and calls me a self-loathing gay who disagrees with Democrat talking points because I believe myself to be sick and immoral.

First time I've ever been complained about, for promising to leave someone alone.

    Get over yourself, rach.

EDIT: I don't take lightly to being called a fascist. I hope the mods find what started rach's pathetic hissy fit.
