1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Well then by all means do not read this thread.
    I'll try.

Are there issues with the new server? For the first time ever, I am getting messages that the server is busy. Also, I tried editing a broken quote tag on one of my posts and just got the hourglass indefinitely.

So fighetta's been banned. I guess it was a question of when rather than if. While most of his posts were nasty, some were actually funny in an irreverent way.

Yeah, he got old very quickly. I'm not really sure why I didn't do it before... maybe he was just ignorable enough to last a while.

As long as he behaves, I vote that we keep him. The extra large condom post was one of the most epic in the history of this forum.

I may have found/fixed the cause of this, but since it was intermittent we will have to wait and see.

I must have missed that one.

This thread is useless without pics.

I'm still having problems with quick reply and quick edit. I keep having to go to "go advanced" and sometimes it'll just timeout and i'll lose my post.

Also, just curious, but what does it say when you're "timed out" in a temporary ban like LA Guy was saying, or when you're banned for real? What happens when you try to go to the web address.

Crap. I don't know why quick reply/edit aren't working right. What browser? Edit: try clearing your browser cache and reloading the site.

When you are banned/timed out, I think it says "you have been banned, the reason given is ____"

Hmmm, a lot of possibilities. Do you ever type in "because you are a shitheel"?

No, Fok sometimes gets crazy with the reason field, but I rarely put anything good there.

    ---

    Change of subject:

I have just added a huge amount of IP addresses of known web proxies to the banned list, as I'm tired of people using them to come on and sock-puppet for each other/themselves. If you can't get on anymore, and you are a user I like with a legitimate reason for using a proxy, email me and I might be able to do something about it.

J- I'm using firefox. It's not that it never works, it just is inconsistant. Sometimes it'll just time out, other times it'll work quickly.

yup me too - itll just sit there spinning indefinitely. I end up copy n pasting whatever I wrote, refreshing the screen, hit edit again and paste it in.
