1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Stop jacking off to computer porn, or if you can't do that, at least aim away from the mousepad.

    Especially with a single-chambered weapon like kwilk's.

Shouldn't political statements and discussions be contained to the CEsspool? It's bothering me (not too much but a little bit) that some SFers use their signature real estate to post political propaganda - effectively in all SF forums, while at the same time they know that these statements cannot be discussed or rebutted.

I have not noticed that but have noticed signatures which contain for sale links which take up about 8 inches of the screen.

Sometimes it takes the form of a quote - but has the same effect, just a little bit sneakier. Other times it's simply crap like this

Can't we just keep this stuff to the CE?

This can also be quite annoying - especially when they decide to use the largest available font size in red

Will someone please join me in complaining about the lag, and all the timing out the forum does when you are trying to make a post? What, none of you are nit-picky whiners who want to bitch about that? Am I really the only one?

You are a nit-picky whiner, but you are right, there has been some lag of late. Not as bad as I've seen before, but definitely a few timeouts and such.
