1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

    Or Baresolid?

That's the problem with banning; where to start and stop.

That's why I was in favor of members creating some sort of censure-type activity, where we all say together in a thread, "Okay, dude, use some sense."

I think a lot of the real thread-shitters do it just because they really think they're doing some sort of social service and get some trollish thrill out of the negativity that results.

I only mentioned those three because at the time I posted, 15 of the 30 threads on the first page of CE were started by those guys, and they were all real losers.

I'm not into banning everybody who posts stupid shit. I'd have been gone a long time ago.

What about a part-way step of temporarily banning these 5 or 6 worst offenders from starting new threads, but not from posting in extant threads? Is that possible?

    *ahem*

Warnings don't really seem to work in CE.

I don't like the vast majority of AF's posts, but he seems like he can be reasonable. A2S and Crak are douchebags. BareSolid is just confusing and almost comical.

It's kind of cute how we muse here, like this is a participatory junta. [IMG]

What page are you on where you see it? I just edited a template and might have messed it up slightly, editing out the NYC party banners.
