ya, Jose was responsible for some classics.

I think he is the first SF member to have his name used as a verb, and a noun. I think we can add ghulkanned to the list, and now merkur is pushing his signature dots to be added to the lexicon as well.

vbulletin requested more from us, so I am asking beasty to weigh in in body consciousness threads, deliberately provoking Manton in CE, and asking Fran if he would like some tanning lotion.

[IMG] that's not what I mean. When we sign up as new user, we get to approve the user agreement, which I believe is vbulletin rather than SF? but I'm not sure. In any case there is something in there about content

He still posts, he's just a little more reserved [IMG]

I'm glad that he's apparently learned to dress himself.

Frequently after posting while drinking, I'll log on the next day with my magic merkur and replace the most offensive material with the famous two black marbles ".."

Beautiful. That's exactly who I was thinking of. Whatever happened to him?

I miss Jose's posts. Well, SOME of Jose's posts.

I'm a huge pidal fan. But, FTR, he didn't go to Harvard, as he later admitted.

I helped spread this rumor (on FNB, of all places!), but...

"The 2005 law alumnus of the University of the Philippines pursued a master's degree at the exalted academy in Cambridge, Massachusetts." Guess he 'just' got an LLM or something at Harvard.

Portnoy and I had lunch with pidal once, and he told us flat out that he was getting an LLM at Harvard, not a JD. Remember, he already had his law degree from a "tropical country" so he didn't need the whole enchilada, just the derivative degree that would make him elligible for jobs in the US.

Also, didn't Fok meet him on campus more than once?
