1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

thanks for making me google that.

I've decided to be at peace with my ignorance.

LD, I always suspected you were smarter than me.

^I have no idea what lemonparty is, but I'm surprised that any member who has been here longer than six days hasn't yet learned the Golden Rule of StyleForum:

Google NOTHING that you hear that seems to be anything other than a clothing or shoe brand. Do so at your own peril or, if at work, at the risk of losing your otherwise gainful employment.

It only takes a few goatse, Veronika Moser, smotherbox, lemonparty, twogirls/cup somethign or other to make your boss say, "You are a messed up f*uck." [IMG]

I hadn't heard of smotherbox. That's actually kind of cool (for fans of the mollusk). Lemonparty is actually pretty tame. Tubgirl is simply atrocious though.

Any word on having a "Career & Work" thread?

As I said on that thread, I disagree. You ban the dangerous; you keep the clowns around to entertain the kids. If he strays into mattjames, Catechumen, bobbyd territory... then fine... but he's not gone there yet.

I thought that was why I'm still around.

Think of grimslade as CE Manton without a sense of humor.

How does it feel to be Manton's Roy Cohn, grimslade?

Seriously, why would Ataturk be banned? Let's not turn into the PC police. Plus, rach2jlc is right, let him keep digging himself deeper.

If you were going to ban the person in that thread who is trolling, it wouldn't be Ataturk. Even though his viewpoints are not my own, at least he's not sitting there nitpicking and attacking people in order to try and invalidate their points.

If you honestly think Piobaire could be banned for calling out Teger's idiocy, I don't even know what to tell you. You're the only one in the thread nitpicking every little post.

I'm not nitpicking anything. And I'm not the only one who sees that Pio is trying to drag the conversation off topic using trolling tactics either. I'm just trying to keep him occupied, so that some semblance of on-topic discussion can continue. If you'd like me to stop - you just let me know. Its not like I'm the only person in that thread who sees through his "I'm not quite comprehending whats happening here - but nonetheless I feel qualified to tell people that they are making ignorant statements" schtick. If you don't "get" what someone is saying - maybe you should try and figure it out before you start attacking them.
