Big spam from StanleyZR, all over General Chat...
yeah, where are the mods? we've been spammed to hell the last couple days with similar links.. maybe it's time to implement anti spam measures for registration? edit- realized there is already some form of this.. looks like they might be manually registering and then perhaps even manually posting too.

How come you can't use ALL CAPS in a thread title?

    Because it would be gay.

+1. Now it's going into other forvms. This is ridiculous.

J, can you implement measures so standard members can delete this shit? [IMG]

IIRC, j posted not long ago about something he was about to implement that would drastically cut back on the spam posting.

While I like the idea of deputizing members to kill off the obvious stuff, I would be too tempted to exercise same powers on Jinda's carpet-bombing campaigns.

Probably, if there were a way to identify spammers to limit the general ability to delete, it would be easier to stop them posting in the first place.

Indeed, though I wonder whether the mods couldn't just give everybody permission to delete Jinda's posts within about ten minutes of posting or else they remain. That would leave only a post or two out of every carpet-bombing campaign.

Peer-reviewed posts. the mind boggles at what would be left. CE would be a barren wasteland.

You make it sound as though that would be a problem.

If all goes to plan (ha ha) I will be upgrading the forum tomorrow night or one of the next couple nights (middle of the night). This should hopefully fix most of the spam problems. All apologies.

Spam spam spam...all over the freaking place.

Wouldn't it would be nice if all governments of the world enacted a law that made spamming punishable by eye-gouging or stake-burning.

He just said that over the next day or two he's taking care of it. Be patient, young padawan.
