1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

It's been considered, but the consensus was that without the CEsspool, its contents would ooze throughout the other forums.

This is true, but the CE forum has been hacked by Sarah Palin. Could we move all the contents do dumb threads and start it over?

I think I suggested this first, but was roundly denounced.

FWIW, I already trademarked "The Magicianist" so you'll have to come up with some other snappy brand

Cool! It works! New tag: [nsfw] - wrap any potentially offensive text/images in this tag to keep it from being displayed at first, for example if you're posting something marginally appropriate in a thread that doesn't have NSFW in the title. use it like this: [nsfw] stuff that is potentially bad [/ nsfw] <-- don't put a space in here really, but there's no other way to show it.

Works for me. I can see the pic of the motorcycle after clicking "I Agree."

The only problem with the NSFW stuff is that it still technically downloads it to your machine when you load the page, not when you click on the agree link.

True, but at least it works as a boss key. It doesn't mean people can go around posting all kinds of crap everywhere, but hopefully it will keep some of the stuff less visible.

Actually, do you know if there's a way to have it not pre-load the (mostly images) inside the tag until clicked?
