Charging would be a bad idea. Not to derail things but then we might as well have [email protected](-linda? [IMG] ) rule us with an iron fist. Which he would probably enjoy, the dirty little bugger! I am going to go away before he wakes up over there and sees my posts.
Would you prefer a rubber fist? We can always ask J to "mod" Edmorel in B+S... [IMG]

Personally, I wouldn't mind even more severe restrictions & enforcement in the B&S forum. I've recently seen sellers bump their threads with messages like "I'm going to post more items tomorrow," or by posting messages telling someone that they've replied to a PM.

Two couple ideas that come to mind, neither of which is perfect:

-Don't allow any responses to posts at all. Questions can be asked and answered by PM; if sellers need to update information, they can use the edit function.

-Charge for posting in B&S. I believe AAAC has started this recently, in part to reduce spam. If you had to pay for every post in B&S (not just every new thread), I imagine bumping would be reduced; questions could still be handled via PM. Given that B&S is a great service, and far preferable to eBay, I wouldn't mind paying a little to use it.

    1) Questions can be useful to other potential buyers. Yes, there is some abuse of the system, but there is some abuse of any system. Just be aware that if you are an abuser, and suddenly get spanked for something you've been getting away with, don't whine.

    2) You know how you gauge the success of a forum? By the content and the traffic. To make people pay to use a service they can get for free elsewhere (i.e. other fora) that increases both is akin to shooting your dick off. Me, I like my dick where it is.

Pah! Is that ALL you can do, you pho-eating weenie?

    P.s. please don't answer

Regarding again the whole paying for the classifieds thing, theer was somewhere some discussion on that once AAAC instituted that, the consensus was, indeed that it was not the best idea. I like teh looser format here much more.

Yes but I am working on it. I have invested in some sky blue linen pants and have almost been able to pull them up to my throat. When they touch my adam's apple, causing a testicle separation so severe that all manscaping efforts are pointless, then, and only then, shall I know that I Am A Barbarian No Longer.
