Transitioning out of skate shoes

So, I'm in the process of changing my style. Where I once considered myself more in the realm of skate punk, I'm trying to transition into an adult dress casual while still retaining some youthful edge. Lets just say I own my fair share of vans classics.

That being said, what kind of shoe should I use to make this transition? I'm looking for something I could wear with slim/straight leg denim, or slim chinos.

There's lots of things that fit the bill depending on what you're looking for, but my personal choice is boat shoe and simple sneaks in the summer, and boots in the winter. There's lot of other things I throw in like oxfords, driving mocs, ect.

Clarks Wallabees and desert boots. Maybe a pair of chelsea boots.

Medium brown oxfords or suede. I don't dig boat shoes with jeans at all.

Take a look at the achilles and tell me what features of it are going to be dated 10 years from now.

Now sambas on the other hand...
