I remember from my childhood that I especially liked toys that could go with me into the bathtub.

They still make the "freestyle" sets, and for a pretty decent price, too. As for the sets you're supposed to make into some predefined shape, I find that the kids make the boat, spaceship, policecar or elephant once and then use the legos to build whatever they damn well please.

i freakin loved playmobil sets. so expensive though. my rich friend had a million of them.

i had this little red tent that didnt have a bottom to it so you set it up on the bed and it tied to your bedposts so you could be sleeping in a tent on your bed. soooo awesome.
