Towels

Any recommendations?

I'm interested in hearing what people here are using.

A while back I sprung for some moderatly expensive "high thread count blah blah balh" towels, that have done nothing but disapoint. They aged poorly (towels are one thing I washoften, sheets and bedding too I guess), and are now rough and misshappen.

Personally, I'm just after feel (and a modest price), I could care less about brand or pattern at this stage of my life and pretty much every manufacturer has at least a couple colors that would work for me.

Restoration Hardware has some fine toweling. I've had good luck with it. Lands'End towels are a good value, I think . . . COSTCO has Egyptian cotton towels, at great prices. C. sells 'hotel' towels that are durable and absorbent. I'm hoping that COSTCO will bring back those FRETTE bathrobes, that they sold last year. I should have bought more of them: $28.99

We've started using Abyss towels from Portugal - both their cotton and cotton/linen blends. They give off no lint and are about the nicest I've come across: http://www.abysscollection.com/en/index.htm

I like that store. Have used some of their paint . . . that too, was excellent.
