I spoke to Steve Yardley, Director of Sales Southwest Region, this weekend. He offered a tour of the Oxxford Clothes factory in Chicago, by contacting Chris Corcoran at 800-453-3914.

If anyone is out that way/ headed out that way, hope you'll use the offer.

During the trunk show, I ALMOST placed an order for custom, as the special trunk show prices were much better than normal. However, when I tried on the Oxxford suits in stock, I had second thoughts. I still have one at the factory, getting the functional buttonholes-- but got it on a great sale price. Had a hard time justifying 1995-2300 for an Oxxford, I guess.

Foxx, great post. I'll hope to get a tour sometime since I live pretty close. Does Oxxford sew functional buttonholes(or do any other alterations) for Oxxford suits purchased at a deep discount from non-authorized Oxxford dealers, e.g. Ebay, and if so, how much do they charge? Thanks.

This is one of the nice things about Oxxford, that Brioni doesn't do. I have, on two occasions, sent my sale-priced items to the factory for functional buttonholes, charge is about $100. If you aren't able to make a contact there to do so, I also use a fine tailor in Atlanta who does them for $100, as well.
