I could not see a thread devoted to the race so started this.

The omens seem to be pointing in Bradley Wiggins direction. Contador ban, Schleck injury, Rodruigez tiredness, others like are Boonen aiming for the Olympics which is a tempting alternative target for the single day specialists.

Evans form has not been so good this year but you can never write him off.

Wiggins won't do it. I know they usually say that Dauphine winners are tour favorites, but only 3 people since 1980 have won both the Dauphine and Le Tour (Hinault, Indurian, Armstrong). Wiggins is no where close to those three. However ... talent is slim this year. Evans and Wiggins both have stacked teams. Both are good TT'ers and there's what - over 100kms of TT this year. Menchov is looking good as well and could podium.

Stage 2 - Cavendish is in form. Bad news for the other sprinters.

So was watching highlights 1 or 2 nights ago and heard about Cavendish's crash and his girl friend's twitter rant. So I just googled her and my god....
