No, my bags are first quality we used them as samples to sell to stores. They are brand new and have never been used for anything but to look at.

Unfortunately I'm at a point, as I'm sure many of you gents are, that you're literally miles above everyone around you in terms of dress. Even in urban environments, as a 29-year old it's so far beyond the norm that people everywhere stare. Hell, I had that court appearence and everything I wore trumped the prosecutor's. The guy was like 40 and a law professional. I'm a young business analyst. He was wearing rubber freakin shoes. I completely understand your point of view and yes, everything should line up and match. But there's definitely a barrier there between being well-dressed but accessible and looking like that's all you do or care about. I want to look like just another guy, only well dressed. I don't want to look like money, or labels, or prestige. And perhaps that's an age thing. Immaculately dressed men in their 40s-60s look normal. Under 30, it's much more standout-ish. That topic is probably an entirely different thread in it's own.

This is fair and I see your point. However, I do think a leather brief or tote at a price point well under $500 is do-able and would "fit" in more with your businesswear than the one you picked. I'm not talking labels, either (no LV, Prada, etc.) Yes, if you came rolling in with an Hermes sac a depeche, which costs as much as a good used car, you'd make waves. A simple leather brief or leather/canvas tote, like many posted on this thread, would make everything fit together and look more subtle, IMHO. A $50 plastic/pleather and polyester small duffle, though, probably sends a completely different message than you are intending.
