I agree; I love bloatware.

Matt, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari...orrent_clients . Let me know if you have questions, I've used a fair chunk of those programs. I now use uTorrent, FWIW. And Ask toolbars should not be installed; if they are, they quickly disappear from uninstalling in the control panel.

Sorry for the newb question here, but is there an idiots guide to torrents somewhere?

Once you have a client, where do you download stuff from? Which sites are safest?

I use Piratebay and Demonoid...

Also, pick up Peerblock if you are paranoid.

Or if your question was truly newb worthy: You download a torrent file from one of the sites suggested. Open it in utorrent (for instance) and then download and upload from and to peers. Pretty safe if you check the comments below the torrent files Or mostly use torrents in the top 100 (pirate bay).

I use demonoid, which is members only, but easy to get an invite. Of the public ones, I tend to use isohunt first, others after that. Be careful to read the comments about torrents on the public sites though, a lot of fake crap.

Thanks all. Matt - what sites are best for finding Oz releases? I looked on Pirate Bay for Animal Kingdom without success

I honestly have no idea. A few years ago I found all of season 1 of Underbelly on Demonoid, but other than that, and The Castle (also Demonoid), I don't think I've ever looked. I'm a race traitor

Australian films are full of sex and drugs and global warming propaganda! No wonder Mel left this sad little island.

Funnily enough I haven't seen many Aussie films, but the ones I have seen have been fairly ordinary, The Castle & The Dish are the only two I can think of that I reasonably enjoyed.
