I'm all for the idea of a meet-up at Leatherfoot. San Fran chapter have been hosted by local retailers and the Leatherfoot guys are very chilled out.

I think it's tacky to ask for any discount, but that's just me......

With or without a group discount, Leatherfoot would still make for a good initial meetup place, then we could move on to a bar / restaurant as a group. But I sure wouldn't object to a discount.

I was conflicted about asking as I'm not trying to diminish his business model and I think he offers reasonable prices as is.

That being said, I thought it would be a great way to introduce Leatherfoot to first time customers, and vice versa. It's basically like how footwear retailers/manufacturers will waive an MTO upcharge if you can get a minimum # of subscribers for the order (it's not an apples to apples example, but you get the idea).

Either way, if Leatherfoot chooses not to offer a discount I'll still be buying from them some point in the future. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Friday could work for me. I'd be in jeans or causal wear :slayer:

Edit: Friday works best. I no longer have a conference until 7:30 on Friday, so I can come for drinks.

I will have family flying in during that week; so whichever day they do not land, I'll will be able to attend. So at the moment, I am somewhat clear for both days.

Just had a chat with the Leatherfoot team yesterday (nice guys :slayer:) and am hoping to working something out with them for a meetup next month too. I have a big idea... hint, it involves Leatherfoot with MC, and Uncle Otis with SW&D next door, for one big ol' mix and mingle... Stay tuned!

Sounds good D. If we can avoid Fri-Sat I'd swing by.

with one week left, the consensus is meeting on Friday 21st June after work. I suggest meeting get to know each other first and we can move to check out the goods at LeatherFoot afterwards.

Please RSVP and mark your calendar! Friday 21st June 18:30 at Morroco.

Can't make it after all. Myself and my coworkers are going to some dinosaur thing at the ROM, apparently they're going to be a few ladies there.

See ya there! When you say Morroco, do you mean Moroco Chocolat in Yorkville?
