Toronto PSA: Brioni blazers at Marshalls

This one's for the Toronto-based SFers out there who are interested in Brioni:

I was at the Leaside Marshalls yesterday (Eglinton just east of Laird) to buy some undershirts. While I was there, I took a look through the suit section and noticed that they had about half a dozen Brioni blazers (all the same style). Black, peaked lapels, double breasted.

They were selling for $599.99; the tag said they usually retailed for $1600 (or something like that), although you can't always trust the tags. I'm not a Brioni guy, so I wasn't really interested, and they didn't have my size regardless.

I don't know if this is really a good deal or not, but thought that I'd point it out in case anyone is interested. FYI, I noticed a few other designer label items in the mens section as well (such as a couple of D&G jackets). Nothing I would (personally) want to buy, though.

Just as an update, I saw a few more black Brioni blazers at the same Marshalls yesterday, but these ones were single-breasted.

Thanks for the info! I would like to add that I saw some Belstaff pieces at a few Winners locations in Toronto. Like $799 for the leather jackets/coats, and $299-$399 for waxed cotton or nylon, down filled ones. Winners is also a part of the TJMaxx/Marshalls family for those who don't know.

It's posts like this that keep me stopping by Marshalls every now and then, even though I have never found anything nicer than Lauren green label and Calvin Klein suits. It's like you are all paid by Marshalls to keep dangling that carrot out in front of us under the hope that we too may someday find a Brioni or PRL suit at Marshalls.

It's more or less been established that certain locations receive a more favorable stock. For the locations around me there's never an issue of brands. BC, RLPL, Brioni, Kiton, Finamore are all normal on the racks. However, the VAST majority of what's on offer is at Marshall's for a reason. It's quite entertaining to see just how hideous some "luxury" pieces are. Likewise, it's heart breaking to see a 100% cash BC sweater with a huge ink stain (likely) from a careless SA.
