Torn suit trousers — salvageable?

Dear gents,

I caught a nail sticking out on a fence this morning (don’t ask) and the result is a nasty tear in my favorite suit. The tear is just below the knee. I’m rather bummed as this is my favorite suit... What do you gents think? Is this salvageable? And if it is, how do I go about fixing it?
