Not sure how this first happened, but a small tear in the suede has evolved to a giant hole. I placed my finger in the hole to show that it goes clear through to the inside of the shoe. Can this be repaired? Is this covered under warranty by AE?

Shoe is only about 6 months old, and the original tear probably happened a few months prior.

No, that can't be repaired. How did the original tear form? If it was a defect, AE might have been able to help, but if it was you cutting them on something, you're probably out of luck. Though AE is known to have good customer service, they may decide to help you regardless.
