1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The Hurt Locker, Inglorious Basterds, Star Trek, 500 Days of Summer, Zombieland. Watched a few more movies this year but these were among the few from '09 that I liked.

    My faves from 09 -

    Mother
    A Prophet
    Up
    The Hangover
    Tetro
    Air Doll
    Breathless
    A Serious Man
    Bad Lieutenant
    Can't think of a 10th, but there's still a bunch I haven't got round to seeing yet.

I had someone try to tell me that Avatar was the best movie they saw this year. I told him that he did not watch enough movies.

Just watched Up in the Air. If that's on any list it was a bad year.

I watched it as well and did not mind it but that's about all I can say.

I don't know if I saw ten new movies this year, but out of the ones I did see I thought Bright Star was clearly number one. Up & Fantastic Mr. Fox were also great movies...

I thought it was pretty amazing that Time Magazine's top three movies were The Princess and the Frog, Up & Fantastic Mr. Fox.
