I disagree, Stacy Adams is #1 by a long shot.

I don't think anyone takes IM seriously while the hip hop set truly adores Stacy Adams.

Does Stacy Adams at least use decent fabrics instead of synthetic blends like IM?

I have to agree with Label King and would only add Andrew Mackenzie to that list.

As for the Stacy Adams, I don't really see what is wrong with it, aside from the bright colors. I certainly couldn't pull it off and wouldn't even try, but I don't see why it is particularly tacky, especially given that beneath it is a sleeveless, 6-button tuxudo-thing from IM (which I agree with Soph is the tackiest I've ever seen). As for those python slip-ons you posted, though, those are basically direct rip offs of seasonal offerings from Cavalli. He always has some sort of python-item waiting in the wings. As for IM, I think that they just borrow ideas from these tacky designers (like Cavalli, D&G, AMK, etc.) and then just make them out of crappy materials and take them one step beyond into the realm of tackiness. But, as for that sleeveless tuxedo job pictured... I think that probably is an IM original of which they're particularly proud (sort of like the dad on "A Christmas Story" was so proud of his classy leg lamp.)

I disagree with the earlier mention of Donatella for versace, though; the last two or three seasons have been much better than before. Two or three years ago versace was at its biggest slump... but the last few seasons have actually been quite nice.

Stacy Adams isn't that bad. At least those pics are following SF nitpickiness.... cuffs showing, tie dimple, pocket square etc

The IM stuff is atrocious of course.

As far as menswear sold in high end stores that also cater to those with taste..I'd agree with DSquared (even if there are 1 or 2 things I see that look ok from them, overall it's a travesty)

Oh, Lordy ! I had no idea who Stacy Adams was (and, more important, what he had foisted upon an unsuspecting world) ; I (inadvertently) bought Stacy Adams hose when I was last at 125th ; I just liked the fabric and colour. May I be forgiven ?
