I don't think anyone takes IM seriously while the hip hop set truly adores Stacy Adams. Does Stacy Adams at least use decent fabrics instead of synthetic blends like IM?
Nope. Same thing almost. Polyester/rayon blends.

    good value, December 16, 2004
Reviewer: almosthappy (San Diego, CA, California) - See all my reviews
I bought the shirt and tie boxed set for myself. At less than $15.00, this boxed set is really an unbeatable value. Think about it, for a silk tie alone, you often need to spend around ten dollars at your local department store. If you could manage to get the free shipping too, this is really a steal! The shirt feels true to the size I have ordered, and the material is very comfortable and easy to manage. The tie matches the style of the shirt very well.

I noticed that review. You know what really stood out? That "The tie matches the style of the shirt very well."

How, pray, would that not be the case? It is a PLAIN WHITE SHIRT! [IMG]

Whats frightening is that the Brioni rep in Las Vegas was trying to pimp out a tie / pocket square combo to me for $235.00. When I responded that it looked tacky he quickly folded it up and put it back in the drawer, no doubt some new money ass clowns are strolling the streets of Las Vegas with there combos...

I like Playboy clothing myself -- I wore a tasteful Playboy shirt to family Thanksgiving and heard my sis-in-law muttering about "inapproporiate."

    I love these threads. [IMG]

Sometimes, when I'm bored, I peruse the reviews of really ugly shoes on Zappos . . . there's solid comedy there.

Check out this "infamous" store that we have here in Detroit, especially the "ask Dr. Fashion" part of the website . . .

Kurupt, in "Let's Get High", mentions "lookin' real sauce in my gangsta-ass Stacys." Snoop Dogg also has a track entitled "Stacy Adams" where the chorus is "We stay on point like Stacy Adams." All these songs suck.

yeah.. ...Snoop also talks about "Now or Later" candy colored gators, but I dont consider most of those west coast clowns 'Hip Hop' with their reverence to pimp culture.

I guess I misunderstood you pointing to the culture as a whole (no way you can get away with wearing a Stacy Adams suit ...to lets say a ..Common or Roots or a Jigga concert ...without being laughed at)

Check out one of Snoop Dogs 'Muses'..
