(I have a V body type) I have tried on 20+ overcoats and they all make my shoulders look too broad even when I get a smaller size then I should. The Hugo Boss fit me PERFECT the description said "rolled shoulders" This may have been because they were more rounded instead of "straight across"/"shoulder pad looking". Please give me some brand ideas.

I have a Ralph Lauren Columbia jacket and it is too wide in general and too broad shouldered. Secondary question could I get my RL jacket altered to fit me better?

Sounds like you-re really asking about a soft or natural shoulder.

If you have a V then you need to avoid any suit that assumes slim or smallish shoulders. But you need some waist supression.

OTOH I'm kind of confused by the question. If you have a V you tend to need a jacket that's broad in the shoulders but ou say you don't like a brand because it's too broad in the shoulders?

I agree I am confusing. I need it to be broad to fit me but I need it to give the illusion that it is NOT broad. (hence the soft shoulder look) Does that even make sense? (I am trying to avoid the LA coach Phil Jackson look)
