Isn't there an added wrinkle this year--a contestant who gets to come back based purely on fan votes? If so, Kristen probably has an even better shot of returning late; not sure what happens if she gets in via Last Chance Kitchen.

Stefan is looking much stronger this season and a LOT more likeable as a person (though he was still pretty fun during his own season).

stefan is really a pretty good guy. he just loves trolling.

What is last chance kitchen? Is that like when you call your friend because you don't know the answer yourself?

it's a gimmick to try to draw website nmbers (something with which i'm extremely familiar).

It also serves as a second chance for the credibility of the show (such as it is) when someone is undeservedly bounced. CJ proved to be a better game-show chef than at least five who were eliminated after he was.

I've actually been really entertained by Last Chance Kitchen this season (http://www.bravotv.com/top-chef/season-10/last-chance-kitchen)

Off topic: anyone catch that new cooking show with Bourdain and Nigella Lawson on ABC? Basically a cooking show with the format of The Voice (which I hasten to affirm I have never watched except for one evening when I was very bored and had nothing to entertain me except TV and some wine), with the twist that all the food is tasted blind. I thought it would really suck five minutes into it but I enjoyed it okay. The pilot was interminably long but I'm guessing once it goes to a normal one-hour format, it'll be entertaining enough for me to stick with, for a little while at least.

Okay, glad to see Josie go home, but it should have been Stefan this time.

I can't believe nobody attempted or even mentioned Korean-style fried chicken. I've frequently marveled that the one thing that my people have perfected is the frying of chickens.
