I know this guy that started this "sham wow" type business, basically "magical" rags taht are super absorbent. He sells a lot of these types of made for TV products. Anyway, the rags were not really doing big business and then somehow one made its way onto a Appreciation set. Since then, he sells these rags to the Appreciation industry like selling potatoes to McDonalds.

Most unintentionally hilarious line came right before the announcement of Kristen as the winner: "If you get Tom's vote." When has Kristen ever not gotten Tom's vote? Kristen could serve roadkill, and Tom would say, "I'm really impressed by your use of unique ingredients. Not many chefs would be this adventurous."

It is wholly unsurprising that you would know a fellow who peddles such wares.

^ Yeah, it pretty much guarantees (at least in the viewer's mind) that some of the votes are rigged. What're they gonna do, have a 35-minute finale with a contestant winning the first three rounds?

uh, you do know it was taped and edited, right? not to defend the format ...

Sure, but I couldn't help but assume that there would be a ton of pressure on the judges not to grant a 3-0 sweep. Just figured that the producers would not want a three-round episode stretched out with narrative filler. Also, sugarbutch is obviously right in pointing out that a quick glance at the clock revealed that Kristen had to win in round 4.

it's a TV show, guys. How much complaining was there when Jack wasn't able to bed a girl for the 5033rd time?

"Gail complains about the stringy leek, but Hugh says he doesn’t mind because he’s good with a knife, and there’s a quick shot of Gail looking like she wouldn’t mind taking a knife to Hugh, but it’s all in good fun because food brings us together."
