I would say:

Edward Green - just because
JM Weston - more individual than the run of the mill english brogue look purveyed by C&J et al less fancy dan and more understated than the italian shoemakers.
Cheaney/Jeffery West - because each are underated at the side lines.

You guys forgot Bostonian and Florsheim.

There is no easy answer to the OQ, but my personal opinion is that Lobb Paris bespoke is the world's best men's shoe.

Better than Lattanzi bespoke?

I think so. I certainly like the shape of them better.

Then again, I have only seen Lattanzi RTW, but they are supposed to be made to the same standard.

Isn't Lobb Paris ~ $5,000 now? Has the price come down with the exchange rate?

Agreed. But if we're going by shape, I think I'd have to give the win to Cleverly.

I think it is more. I would bet that the NYC store never lowers the price no matter what the exchange rate. The euro is not down nearly as low as the pound, so not much relief there either. Also, you can only pay in euros if you order AND pick up in Paris.

I like Cleverley a lot, but the shape of a well made LP is better.
