^ there are two creases next to the shoulder blades ... i am pretty sure those creases did not show up before i had the waist taken in so was the waist taken in too much? would that cause the creases at the shoulders?

That jacket was not an ideal starting point. The shoulders are too wide. Narrowing the shoulder width is a risky and expensive proposition.

No, they are too wide. Try standing parallel to a wall. The padding on the jacket will make contact with the wall before your shoulder bone. This means the shoulders on the jacket are too wide.

No, your shirt sleeves are just too long. Shorten them too.

Besides the shoulders, the suit looks fine. 99.999999% of the population won't notice. By SF standards, they're lacking. You didn't waste money, but try doing better next time.

^^This - you could try having the sleeves tapered a touch too (as well as shortening your shirt sleeves). Otherwise looks pretty good.

argh
i thought i was finally going to have a suit that fit right ...
this is the first time i've done more than just hemming the pants on a suit
so there isn't much i can do about the shoulder blade area creasing?

so maybe i can just go work out and build up my shoulders and back muscles like i had planned on doing ...
that could solve this problem without having to alter the suit any more

i'll post updated photos in about 6 months or however long it takes me to build up my puny shoulders

Toward the end of the thread in the link I posted the OP had the shoulders narrowed on his jacket, much like you're asking to do here. It is possible if risky/costly. Given the fact that you've already spent a fair amount with this suit, why not give it a go?

Honestly, you're going to be in motion wearing this thing, it's going to variate even if you have the shoulders fixed. That being said, getting the shoulders fixed isn't a bad idea if you feel like it's worth the money.

+1. The coat sleeves are definitely not too short, it's the shirt which is the problem.

The sides are taken in up to the bottom of the armhole. In this case it could have been taken in to the top of the shoulder to keep a clean line to the waist. This is much more costly than just taking in the sides. When you do this you have half of the sleeve opened up and you might as well take the sleeves off and recut them to fit the armhole and get rid of the wrinkles on the back of the sleeves. With the sleeves off you could then recut the right shoulder as you have a low shoulder, that cleans up the wrinkles in the body on the right side and will get the button/buttonhole to line up with each other. Then you can narrow the shoulder to a better width for you. Will probably cost as much as the suit to do all this.

no it doesn't, that is simply a matter of styling
