will a tweed jacket look out of place on a person in mid 20s? is there any specific cut or style that will make tweed look stylish on a young person? pictures will be great!

I probably wouldn't recommend a three-piece tweed suit for a guy in his mid-20s, but I don't see why a two-piece suit or a jacket would be too out of place. You might want to consider bolder patterns/cuts, depending on what you're going to be wearing the suit for. See Dashing Tweeds' on-line shop and blog for some examples of "youthful" tweed wearers: http://www.dashingtweeds.co.uk/dt/shop/

I wouldn't discourage any young person from wearing tweed, as I'm one willing to do so. I just haven't found anything that I fits what i'm looking for to purchase. It's a classy look, and if you have various places to wear a tweed blazer or suit to, then go for it. The most important element to consider with a younger individual is the cut, as pointed out before. As long as you keep that in mind you'll find something align with your desire.

I don't think you can ever be too young. I have a couple tweed blazers and I'm nineteen, wear them with dark denims and a decent t-shirt or plain chambray shirt most of the time. Don't think it looks out of place at all.

Depends on the fit. I wear a short, slim fit tweed blazer with my skinny jeans.

I just bought a grey herringbone tweed jacket that I think goes very well with jeans, better than brown IMO:

Tweed looks good on people of any age.
