Hi all,

I have been lurking for quite some time & have really appreciated all the information this board has provided. I am looking to make the jump & have three new suits tailored.

I have for quite some time been telling myself, just drop these last few kg's & put on a little muscle then you can reward yourself with some totally bespoke suits!

The only problem is, I still haven't managed to quite get to the 'ideal' body I am after but I am really in need of some new suits.

My question is, if I have these suits tailored with my current shape & then lower my body fat & increase my muscle tone (mostly upper body) will these changes be easy to alter after the suit is made?

Hopefully my question makes sense!

Thank you in advance.

Completely depends on how big of a change it is. The chest and shoulders of a suit are for the most part unable to be altered, so if you drop a bunch of weight from your chest/shoulders, there's not much you can do about it.

A few years ago, I dropped about 30 lbs, and all of my suits no longer fit in the chest, FWIW. If it were me, I'd wait. If you need something immediately, buy something very cheap to get you through.
