Too much for Isaia???

I recently came across a NWOT Isaia Base S suit. Everything is still basted. It is charcoal gray with very thin grayish pinstripes. It's missing the buttons, would $700 be too much to pay?

Would anyone know where to get the proper buttons in NYC? This would be the most I've spent on a suit.

Thanks

Tender Buttons is probably the best button store in America. Highly recommended

I think $700 for an Isaia suit is very reasonable, even without the buttons, but it depends on the fit and other parts of its condition. Only you would know that.

Thanks for the link. The suit is flawless, the fit is good, will need a few adjustments though.

I think Isaia makes an excellent suit, and at a discount, even better. $700 is a great price, even if you need to spend another hundred on tailoring.

If the suit makes you look like a million bucks, then 700 is cheap

I'll probably get it, I need to get a picture of the tag. I know nothing about this suit and want to research a little, but from what I gather $700 isn't a bad price point; I know they are quality suits.

Worse case scenario, I'll put it on here at cost.

Great price. Retail for base s range from 3k to over 4.5k for wool or wool blends.

this is a standard, business wear suit. $700 is more than fair, as long as it fits well.

The buttons - go to tender or order from one of the SF B&S button vendors. Either way, go for the suit if it works for you.

I am definitely looking for a good fit. I am using this forum to help. Although most people would not know a good fit, I am starting to be able to distinguish. At this price point, I know it won't be around long. I just had the shop put it on hold until tomorrow when I can get it an try on the pants.

Does anyone know where I can find more information on models? All my internet scouting hasn't turned up much, except they are expensive suits.

I do know it's a Base "S", and 100% wool, which I got from the label stitched in the pocket. I didn't notice any other tags besides the Isaia tag sewn on the inside.

Thanks for the link.

So, it's definitely made after 2008. I guess, if it fits relatively well, I'll grab it and determine of the alterations are doable. I know the key is getting shoulders that fit.
