Does anyone know who made that suit. It was a cut that you mostly see with Armani, TF and Bottega; those very high armhole, with broad slim shoulders. I know John Legend and Samuel Jackson were in Armani BL and Emporio, they looked great.

I think it was Tom Ford.

I haven´t seen the suit, but IIRC Tom Hanks was in some Etro ads some time ago, so maybe that´s what he wore.

PaoloM, do you have a picture of him wearing the suit you´re referring to?

3 piece, SB, wide peak lapels?

I thought it was quite nice on TV. Not nearly as impressive from 100 yards away when I saw it in person from the south side of the reflecting pool.

I saw him on stage, and I too thought he had a very nice looking suit on. Definitely fit him perfectly, so I am guessing it was a MTM suit. Wouldn't be surprised if it was ETRO.

Probably Armani. Who is not dressed by Armani in the American movie star community?

I would guess that it was made by a trendy designer, ie Tom Ford/Etro etc...
It seems as though most celebs prefer big names over true sartorial wear.

Now that I´ve seen some pictures I agree that it´s more likely a TF suit. I also just read an old NY Times article which stated that Hanks is friends with Ford.

Pretty sure it's a Tom Ford. In addition to the fact that it looks like a Tom Ford suit, I saw Hanks on the second floor of the Tom Ford Boutique several months ago --the MTM floor.
