Hey guys I kopped myself some black Tom Ford tuxedo pants, and now need a jacket to match, obviously I can't buy another jacket unless its the same black which is almost impossible to find- Is my only option to get a completely different formal jacket to match? Like a nice maroon or petro velvet jacket? How Much will Mr. Ford ask for, to just buy the Tuxedo jacket?

Let me know...

Go for the Bond "Dr. No" look with a white shawl collar.

Personally I'd suggest a dark velvet dinner jacket.

Silly decision if you wanted a full evening dress.

You could wear a white coat or else a velvet one However both will be out of place at most functions unless you are
a) eccentric (Velvet) or
b) live somewhere warm

Cut your losses and buy a full suit instead.

Bond never wore a white shawl collar dinner jacket, but that's the best thing you can wear with a lone pair of black tie trousers.

Maybe he's conflating the dinner jackets from Dr. No and Goldfinger, but either way I agree that a cream jacket is his best bet.

These. I'd personally go with the velvet dinner jacket most seasons (make sure it's well tailored, so you don't look like a dope), and a white jacket in the summer (similar case here).

If I had a black tie ensemble, I'd be repping a dark blue velvet dinner jacket at every event. As SFers, it's our right to stand out
