Did the lapels get even wider?

Where are my peak lapels? Not too impressed.

If fashion brands are supposed to be aspirational, then I clearly am not a TF aspirant. The fit seems wrong, the model is scary and I do not want to look or dress remotely like him, the lapels are huge and it all looks garish.

I usually quite enjoy Tom Ford, but I'm not really seeing much here that appeals to me. Other than the naked girl, that is.

His trademark huge peak lapels are becoming copied by everyone and have lost most of their wow factor. He probably wanted to switch it up. Hence the oversized notch.

Otherwise, a bunch of choices that seem kind of arbitrary-- skinny belts, big 30s pants...

Has he always done the shiny colored tux jackets? Or is that new?

The model actually reminds me of a young Tom Ford...

Some of the cream suit looks are quite fun. Not much of a fan of most of the rest, to be honest. Seems less fresh than prior collections, somehow. Probably a case of diminishing returns over time.

I cannot fathom how this stuff makes money. The lapels look awful, as do the high-rise and wide-leg pants. "Look #3" does not pass muster for a Sears catalogue, in my opinion.

I'm sure the fabrics and construction are beyond reproach, but even if I could substitute in Banana Republic prices, I didn't notice a single piece that jumped out at me.

The loose fit trousers are not doing it for me. It's not helped by the twiggy-like model, the last person on the world benefitting from pleats. I'm betting he weighs less than the girl.

People with more money than sense MUST wear Tom Ford. That is enough to put bread on his table.

That is true for any clothing brand. I think people underappreciate that clothing is not one size fits all, or one rule applies to all. If you know what you are doing, Tom Ford works well on that right person.

I guess it'll have to grow on me... but I'm not really feeling it. It's a bit too fashion-y. I don't really get the womenswear offerings at all. It's also extremely rare for me to say this... but they models look too skinny in the womenswear. Heroin chic?

Collar gap in Look 3 for men is weird. I kinda like the plaid shirts for casual. For lack of a better term, all the clothing is super ghey.

Hard to get past the super wide lapels, but love the colors and the Western shirts jump out at me as fun. Also like that field jacket.

It's almost like Tom Ford is doing a parody of Tom Ford.

    Yeah. Thats pretty well put.

However guys, keep in mind this is the ad stuff. There are probably 100 other looks you are not seeing, mostly the business suits and more conservative things.
