Generalizing crocodile, or alligator skin is like generalizing "cars". There are many factors that make a skin shoe more expensive than another.

From what I've been told, the most expensive skin (finest Nilotus or Porosus, or top grade Alligator) is about $600 for an entire skin (the grade that Hermes or BV uses for example).

Not so sure about that, and even if that extremely low estimate is right, you need to double it for a pair of shoes, and then you are discounting all the other parts and labor.

Well it just seems to me that a pair of croc shoes at Hermes or BV or Lobb, all of which are around $5-6,000, are made of the exact same croc (quality wise) as T.F., and are of the same level of craftsmanship. So you're telling me T.F.'s are twice as good as Lobb or Hermes? In what way?

The burgundy tassel loafers? I liked his shoes but the heels are a bit too high for my taste. By the way, the price is also.

the only things that stands out from a MC point of view is the legs on the pants are a bit fuller. Maybe nut-huggers are on there way out? you wouldn't hear me complain.

Price does not always equal good, or better than. Depends on markup, exact cost of goods, production/import costs, etc. etc. Ive seen other retailers charge 8-9k for a shoe out of exotics, so this is not surprising at all to me.

^^^Ferragamo had a pair of croc ankle boots for $12,000 a couple years ago. Looked good, too.
