When he was at Gucci, Gucci was by far the most exciting fashion label in the world. What happened since?! His perfumes smell like Turkish brothels, his clothes are a strange (non-functional) mix between fashion and tailored clothes, his shoes look like carricatures of Cleverley shoes and everything is so rediculously overpriced it hurts - what's the deal? Has he really just simply sold off his name to take a time out for the rest of his life?

Does anyone know if DeSole is still involved?

DeSole is involved...

TF at Gucci wasn't that nice to be honest. He's in the same line with his own Brand but "klassier". It works, just not for me.

I like his stuff a lot but agree that it's crazy overpriced.

I don't think he is in the same line at all. Gucci was sexy, the TF brand is naf.

It seems as if the entire world is but a battle between the forces of Browne and Ford.

Ford's eponymous current stuff is less gey than the stuff that he did for Gucci in his first two or three years as creative director. This saps the current range of its native strength.

Is it sort of a Samson thing where the more his hairline recedes, the less **** his stuff gets?

I loved him at YSL more than at Gucci during those days.
