Went to a party wearing my MDR, ended up being a total sausage fest. At least three dudes came up to caress the leather, so weird

felt a little like CDhagg :embar:

Has anyone noticed that since dressing like styleforum, you have been attracting lots of homo attention, even when hetero?

I don't know what 'dressing like StyleForum' means, but I can kind of relate. Albeit, the compliments and questions don't come specifically from men, but rather women as well. Women seem to love the bombers, and the fellas ask about the DRs.

There would be times when I stop by different stores to shop or make payments and SAs would compliment the clothes and ask where I got them from. In regards to ToJ, 4 dudes have asked me for the website.

IMO it doesn't take much to attract the public's attention. You can shop exclusively at Banana Republic or J. Crew and still out-dress and stand out from the majority of the guys out there.

My jacket was shipped on the 27th, and the latest tracking information states it's arrived in Vancouver on the 28th. You guys think I will get my TOj1 today? I wanna fucking wear it so bad!

I've now got my sizes for both a Peacoat & MDR and hope to order both tonight if possible.

I know I want the peacoat in Navy, but I'm now having doubts about the MDR. I originally planned to buy the jacket with black hardware, but now I'm leaning more towards black with gunmetal hardware. The only thing putting me off gunmetal (And this is going to sound very pathetic) is being labeled as a hard rocker/grease fanboy upon meeting new people. I'm not saying these things are bad - and hope people don't take that to meen I think the rocker look is bad - It's just not a direction I want to go in. Can anyone with a black-gunmetal MDR comment on if they've ever thought that themselves or had others comment on it? As I said I know it's daft - has anyone ever bought something they feel uncomfortable in at first but then grow to love it?

Also I will mainly wear the MDR with a t shirt/shirt, raw jeans, and boots - Is it possible that one of the hardwares would make the jacket more versatile?

Thanks (I feel an idiot for actually asking this - but will appreciate serious responses :embar:)

gunmetal is more versatile than the black IMO, but people who like blacked hardware will find no substitute, so that is why we have it. We probably won't re-up on black hardware again, and it's running out, so if you like it, you should go for it.

^ i prefer some contrast on hardware so i personally would go gunmetal. i have a black 2011 dr with gunmetal hardware and i love it.

Can anyone comment on altering sleeve length on a chesterfield? There was a hiccup last year with my chesterfield ( i ordered an XL cause they ran slim with medium lengths but got a stock XL) and I never got around to having the sleeves taken in.

I honestly don't have a trusted tailor where I'm at.
